Saddle up and nab these five fabulous ideas for hosting a good old-fashioned hoedown:

1. Western Fonts

Just think of all the ways you can use these fun, free western fonts for your party! Design DIY invitations, create labels, and even make “Wanted” posters of the birthday boy or girl to post around the party space. We love that Heather from Moritz Fine Designs has graciously corralled a list of ten free fonts that are perfect for this theme!

2. Lasso-Inspired Decor

Rope lanterns are reminiscent of something you’d see casually looped onto a barn door handle or strung from a tree, like a mini floating campfire. These sweet tealight holders add a uniquely rustic, western touch to any event. They’re affordable enough to hang a few dozen from the rafters at your next event or to let your guests take them home as a party favor. For kid-friendly decor, you can even fill them with toppings for an ice cream bar!

Giddy-up and show party-goers to their seats with a little lasso rope frame. Planning to have real horses at your party? Take a picture of each cowboy and cowgirl posing with a pony and frame the photo for a favor to take home. You could also take photos of the kids in a western themed photo booth and display their “wanted” signs in these little frames.

3. Bandana Bundles

You know something’s a nifty idea when you wish you’d thought of it before. What a neat, complete way to outfit your buffet table with everything your guests need to enjoy all your delicious fixings. Tuck silverware, a straw and a bandana napkin in a mason jar for each guest and you now have decor that does double duty as a place setting!
