There’s no place like home… especially when your closest friends and family have transformed it into a Wizard of Oz wonderland for your baby shower! This mom-to-be’s favorite movie is The Wizard of Oz, so it was an easy choice for the party’s theme! From an Emerald City candy station to a Yellow Brick Road guestbook, this baby shower was incredibly creative and fun!

Looking to get inspired? Here are nine details we love from this Wizard of Oz baby shower:

1. Follow the Yellow Brick Road

We’re off to see the mommaaa. The beautiful momma-to-be! Every Wizard of Oz party needs a yellow brick road. Create one leading up to the front door of the house or venue to get your guests theme-ready before they even walk in the door!

2. A Field of Poppies

When choosing your flowers, go with red! This baby shower featured Red Gerbera Daisies, which were reminiscent of the Field of Poppies from the movie.

3. Emerald City Diaper Cake

Also sitting in the foyer was a themed diaper cake! Decorated with flying monkeys and glittery green towers, this Emerald City diaper cake was a hit. Perfect for the Wizard of Oz-loving mom-to-be!

4. Yellow Brick Road Guest Book Art

Guest books are a must at baby showers. They give friends and family the opportunity to wish mom and the little one well – and in a format that is much longer lasting than a card! The Yellow Brick Road guest book art was an awesome addition to this baby shower. The mom loved it so much she decided to hang it in the nursery!

5. Dorothy Table Decor

Even the table decor fit the theme! Made to look like Dorothy’s attire, the table was covered in a blue gingham fabric with yellow flora and even a pair of sparkly red slippers at the center!

6. Wizard of Oz Games

The guests all played a few Wizard of Oz themed games, too. The Bingo boards had Dorothy in the center with an Oz-looking background. And after Bingo was over they tested their knowledge with some Wizard of Oz trivia. (We bet the guest of honor won that one!!)

7. Witch Drink Stations

Both Glinda the Good and the Wicked Witch of the West were represented at the drink stations. Guests could choose between Melted Witch Punch and Glenda’s bubbly brew – one spiked with Moscato and the other virgin for the mom-to-be! Each drink had matching cups and party straws, making the whole drink station even more adorable!

8. Oz Cake

With a yellow brick road snaking up the side, red poppies sprinkled all around, a Hershey kiss for the Tin Man’s hat, bales of hay for the Scarecrow and (best of all) the twister-dropped house with the Wicked Witch of the East’s slipper-adorned feet sticking out, this cake was a true embodiment of the party’s theme!

9. Emerald City Sweets

Last but not least, these ladies ate some sweets! The candy station at this baby shower was filled with confections like tin man hats made of Hershey kisses, lions and tigers and bears (oh my!) made of chocolate and iced animal crackers and lemon drop candies. Guests filled their goody bags with all sorts of candy to take home after the event. Food favors are always a hit!
