There are so many great homemade bridal shower favor ideas on Pinterest, and we’re sharing step-by-step instructions for a favor that is practical, affordable and absolutely adorable! It’s especially perfect for a kitchen themed bridal shower! This whisk and tea towel bundle comes together in a few easy steps for a shower favor that will wow.
Step 1: Gather All Supplies
You’ll need the following supplies for each favor:
- “Something Blue” Kitchen Whisk
- Tea Towel
- Jute Twine (about 24″ for each)
- Thank You Tag (Use these free printables to create your own chalkboard or rustic tags)
Step 2: Remove Packaging
Step 3: Fold Tea Towel
This step is easy peasy! Fold the towel in half lengthwise, then fold in thirds. You can really fold it however you like!
Prep Tip: These towels come in packs of twelve, so it might be easiest to start an assembly line and fold them all first.
Step 4: Add the Tag
Print, cut and hole-punch your thank you tags. You can use these free printable templates for chalkboard tags and rustic tags or you can buy pre-made ones. Next, cut a piece of jute twine about 24″ long and thread the tag on the twine. Now wrap the twine twice around the tea towel.
Step 5: Attach the Whisk
Keep the twine in place by tying a simple knot. Then thread one piece of twine through the loop on the whisk.
Step 6: Tie a Bow
Finally, tie a bow! Your pretty little thank you gift is complete!
Now just repeat…

Here’s a different kind of bridal shower idea – a Bon Voyage party!
No, your happy newlyweds-to-be don’t have to be embarking on a honeymoon cruise or flying off to an island destination. It can be a honeymoon in the mountains, Napa Valley – or anyplace, actually.
Here’s how it works:
Discover the honeymoon location, then do a little online research on the area:
Contact the most interesting ones via email to find out what gift certificates/services they offer. Then plan your Bon Voyage party!
Provide invitees with the information they need to add a bouquet, a bottle of champagne, basket of fruit or perhaps a box of chocolates to the room. Or how about a nice brunch at the hotel, in-room couples massages, an ATV expedition, tickets to a museum, amusement park, IMAX theater – once you’ve done the research, the possibilities are endless!
Now you need some memorable favors for your guests. These are theme-perfect for a bon voyage celebration!
Let’s see if this gives you a bit of inspiration for planning a Kitchen Shower …
Be it wedding favors, or bridal shower favors, or even baby shower favors, we hope we inspire your “inner hostessness”!
