There is something incredibly romantic about the stars. The way the lights flicker against an otherwise dark sky creates the perfect backdrop for a romantic evening. So if you’re planning a night wedding, why not go for a constellation theme? Here are five details we love from this starry night wedding.

1. The Colors

Every star-themed wedding needs a bit of deep blue and glam gold. But what we love about this wedding is the use of these colors plus a blush hue. The colors complement each other perfectly and the blush adds a bit of softness to the bold color combination.

2. The Themed Cocktails

With such a fun theme it would be a shame not to have the bartender craft a few specialty cocktails. And that’s exactly what this couple did! It’ll be a blast coming up with the fun names and your guests will love it, too. I’ll take a “Space Boots & Birthday Suits,” thank you very much!

3. The Sparkling Details

Just like stars twinkle in the sky, its important for pieces of your decor to twinkle, too! And for an occasion as special as a wedding, there is no such thing as too much sparkle! Add some shimmer to your flowers and some edible glitter to your cake design– or simply set it on top of a glittery table runner!

4. The Moon Backdrop

And just as every planet (or star) needs its moon, every bride needs her groom. If you’re going with a star themed wedding, we suggest adding a moon to your decor, too! These newlyweds look beautiful posing on this large crescent moon.

5. Constellation Decor

So you’ve got your color scheme, cocktails, sparkles and crescent moon taken care of, so now its time for the finishing touches! When stars come together to create a constellation the result is truly incredible. Add a few constellation-decorated items to your wedding to create an extra wow factor. Constellation-themed cross-stitching accents can be placed on any table or surface. And if your party is small and you don’t need table numbers, swap them out for decorative, starry night cards!
