Who knew Leslie Knope’s love of her lady friends and waffles would turn into such a celebrated holiday?! But we are definitely not complaining. Whether you’re in a committed relationship or still looking for the one, Galentine’s Day is the perfect excuse to round up your girls, decorate in pink and eat some delicious food.

And while you can certainly host Galentine’s Day at a restaurant, there’s nothing like hosting the celebration at your home. And with the use of a bar cart, prepping has never been easier. Here are 6 steps to decorating your Galentine’s Day (or Valentine’s Day!) bar cart.

Choosing Your Colors

Before you look into the products you want to include on your bar cart, you must decide on a color scheme. Since we are celebrating Galentine’s Day, we chose to go with gold and pink – but reds, silvers and whites would definitely work for this holiday, too!

Sweets & Treats

No Galentine’s Day party is complete without sweets! From chocolates to cupcakes to cookies the options are endless. But we decided to go with donuts! Donuts are great because they can be eaten at a Galentine’s Day brunch for a sweet breakfast treat or later in the day for dessert!

You can even top the donut tower off with some cotton candy for extra sweet flavor and pink decor!

And don’t forget the candy! We put pink, red and white m&ms and chocolate kisses in pink bowls for our guests to nibble on. And last but not least, we sprinkled conversation hearts across the top of the bar cart – mostly for decor, but for snacking, too!

The Bubbly

Next up – drinks! Bar carts were made to carry spirits, wines and more, and this Galentine’s Day celebration is no exception. We suggest choosing simple white or pink sparkling champagne. Place a bottle or two up top with extras stowed away on the bottom. Trust us – you’ll need them!

Champagne Flutes

While you could drink your bubbly from a plain old plastic cup, it is way more fun and festive to drink from champagne flutes! Our gold confetti stemless champagne flutes are perfect for any celebration, Galentine’s Day included! Plus, they add a touch of elegance to your bar cart.

Have an extra champagne flute? Throw some pink and white party straws into a glass. It looks pretty on your bar cart and your friends will thank you for helping to keep their lipstick looking great all day long!

Gold Accessories

It’s important to keep the gold to pink ratio just right. So when it comes to bottle openers and stoppers, we say the gold-er the better! Our gold glitter heart bottle opener is perfect for friends who prefer beer. And just in case you can’t finish all of those bottles of champagne, its a good idea to have one of our gold glitter heart bottle stoppers on hand!

Pink Accessories

It’s the little details that really round out your bar cart, so there’s no such thing as too many trinkets! Add pink glitter coasters, pink mercury glass votive holders and more for extra color.
