While winter weddings make the perfect background for photos, indoor ceremonies and receptions are much for popular among couples. This happy bride and groom took advantage of their gorgeous landscape, but also enjoyed a super cozy reception with amber lighting and winter themed touches. Read on to see how this happy couple tied the knot.
Mountain Winter Wedding
Sun Valley has a special place in this couple’s hearts. They were introduced at the club, and knew it was the perfect place to get married. The inspiration for the big day was winter in Sun Valley– snowflakes and warm light to contrast with the cold outside.
Big Smiles
As the bride got buttoned into her lace dress, there was nothing but smiles on her face.
After the groom and his groomsmen got ready, they decided to pop by for a pint and a few laughs before seeing the bride.
Snowy Backdrop
The bright sun and the snowy backdrop made for some gorgeous photos of the bridal party!
The groom and his groomsmen were looking very dapper in their sunglasses and matching red ties.
The ladies, despite the cold, looked as happy as could be in their red bridesmaid gowns. The snowy mountains made for gorgeous photos with the happy couple as well! They could have melted the snow with how warm their love is.
The Ceremony
Then it was finally time for the big day. As the bride walked down the aisle, you can tell by the groom’s face that this is the day they have both been waiting for. The handcrafted birch arch and rose petals were a gorgeous touch to a magical wedding ceremony.
Cozy Reception
After the two became husband and wife, it was time to move to the reception. Guests were greeted with cozy amber lighting and chalk board signs welcoming them to the celebration.
Guests would find their table with a rustic wood place card holder, which led them to the golden reception tables.
The amber glow mixed with the gold mercury votives and calligraphy table numbers make for a perfect, romantic atmosphere. The pine cones and sprigs added a nice winter touch to this indoor reception.
Building Memories
Instead of a guest book, friends and family were encouraged to white messages on Jenga blocks. Guests encouraged them to “build memories” just like you build a tower with the blocks. The couple have the blocks on their mantle to remember the beautiful messages and relive the memories.
Winter Wonderland
Since the couple wanted to bring the outside in, lots of winter touches were included in the reception like this delicious wedding cake covered in snowflakes and topped with pine cones.
Happily Ever After
The couple danced the night away enjoying their cozy reception and their new status as man and wife!
