This couple was all smiles (and a few tears) at this opulent spring mansion wedding. And who could blame them? It was a gorgeous affair brimming with laughter and love.
The wedding was set in the garden of a beautiful mansion in Maryland. And while the location was truly incredible, what really made the wedding special were the fun and sentimental touches that were added to the mix.
The Spring Colors
A spring wedding deserves to be dressed in beautiful spring colors. The bridesmaids wore sweet, soft pink dresses that complemented the flowers both in the garden and on the tables! The cake was frosted light pink. And the pink, floral pattern on the invitations also emulated the spring mansion wedding feel. Rose golds and silvers (like the votive holders) were sprinkled into the color scheme to add a bit more dimension.
The Dresses
The bride had not one, not two, but three different dresses for her special day! (That’s a girl after our own heart.) She wore one dress for the ceremony, another dress for the reception, and yet another dress for a traditional Chinese tea ceremony.
The Fun & Games
Weddings are full of emotions: happiness, love, excitement, and more. It’s important to throw fun in the mix, too! This mansion wedding was filled with lighthearted activities to make the day even more memorable.
This couple had a special someone in their lives that they couldn’t leave out of their wedding- their pup! He joined in on the wedding fun by accompanying a bridesmaid down the aisle, and they even made him a cute sign that read, “My humans are getting married.” How cute!
After the bride and groom exchanged vows and the ceremony was complete, family and friends tossed pink paper airplanes their way in celebration.
Drinks and dancing are always a must at weddings, but this wedding took it to the next level with awesome games! Jenga and cornhole were available for when guests wanted a break from the dance floor.
The Snacks
When it comes to fun party food, this wedding did everything right.
Gelato was waiting for the guests during the outside portion of the wedding. It was not only delicious, but also a great way to keep cool in the sunny weather.
Inside, they set up a popcorn bar with popcorn, pretzels, and homemade salted caramel. The caramel jars are a great idea for favors, too!
And no wedding would be complete without a few cocktails! The bride and groom selected two wedding-themed specialty cocktails for the guests to enjoy. We love the presentation on the chalk board!
The Travel Accents
The pink airplanes from earlier were a sign that this couple loves to travel! The travel theme continued throughout the wedding to the place card settings and the welcome area. And instead of signing a book, guests were encouraged to share their sentiments on a globe! (Love the travel theme too? Check out our Travel & Adventure Wedding Collection!)
