Summer is the most popular time of year to get married. And with the warm weather, blooming flowers and (often) extra free time, we can understand why. Rustic decor has taken the 2016 wedding scene by storm, so what better setting to have a summer wedding at than at a gorgeous farm! Summer farm weddings are the perfect mix of easygoing and romantic. From the beautiful scenery to the fun energy and elegant decor, farm weddings create an ambiance that every bride and groom will love. Here are the top three reasons we love this summer farm wedding.
1. The Scenery
Not all farms come equipped with breathtaking scenery but this Colorado farm wedding certainly wowed its guests! Summers in Colorado are extremely temperate, making it a great destination for an outdoor wedding. The ceremony was set in front of a lush garden with mountains in the distance. The sky was clear during the day and then transformed in the evening for an incredible sunset.
2. The Energy
We’re not sure if it was due to the location or the infectiously happy couple, but the energy of this wedding was electric! The wedding party had no shame in having some fun, and we love how the photos turned out because of it!
The men looked handsome posing in front of the barn, but the real personality came out when they decided to jump from the low, stony ledge. It quickly became apparent that this was no ordinary wedding party.
The ladies began in color coordinated robes: the bride in white and the bridesmaids in fun, bright colors! But the robes didn’t last long and they were soon in their dresses. And while flower bouquets are beautiful, these ladies opted for cigars and beer! They certainly weren’t about to let the men have all of the fun.
But best of all was when the ladies and gents came together for some photos in front of the barn. So much happiness captured in one picture.
3. Decor
The big red barn and the mountains are gorgeous, but its the little details that really make this summer farm wedding special.
Instead of a typical vase, the bright flower bouquets were placed in Fat Tire beer cases.
Copper mugs, white lanterns and lace table runners dressed the rustic wood tables creating a simple and elegant farm wedding look.
And no farm wedding would be complete without string lights! They added a beautiful, intimate glow to the night.
