There was no shortage of class at this classic Chicago wedding. From the attire to the decor, this happy couple shared this special day in style. It was an affair that Gatsby himself would have admired. Read on to see out top three things we can’t stop thinking about from this modern classic wedding.
Sophisticated Attire
The entire wedding party dressed to the nines. The groomsmen dressed in black and white with matching black bowties, shades and pocket squares. The bridesmaids wore varying neutral shades and held cream and light pink bouquets.
And while everyone looked stunning, the bride and groom definitely stole the show. From her gorgeous beaded dress, his elegant tux and their happy smiles, all eyes were on the betrothed!
Dramatic Ambiance
Keeping with the elegance of the attire, the ceremony had a romantic and dramatic ambiance. The lights were dim with most of the light coming from small light fixtures and candles.
A Thousand Years played from an string quartet while the wedding party made its way down the aisle. Something about strings just adds to the dramatic feel!
And the color scheme was certainly made up of contrasting hues. The bridesmaids in light colors and the groomsmen in dark. The flowers and tablecloths in light and the walls and curtains in black. The contrasting colors made the ceremony feel so elegant!
Swanky Reception
But just because the dress and ceremony were so elegant doesn’t mean it wasn’t a fun evening! The vibe moved from dramatic to swanky after the couple say “I do.” Guests wore trendy attire – the bride even made an outfit change changing from her long elegant gown into a shorter, flapper-style dress! And everyone was dancing, drinking and laughing the night away.
