We recently partnered with Brides Across America and Bel Fiore Bridal to award 3 lucky military brides with a wedding full of favors. Jakema is our first winner! Here’s her sweet love story:

“My name is Jakema Aiken and My Husband is SSG Keith Aiken, in the U.S Army Stationed in Augusta, GA. We met as kids when I moved to Hardeeville, South Carolina from Philadelphia and lost contact with each other when we went to different high schools. We reunited as adults in March 2010 while he was stationed in Hickory, NC as a Recruiter just to have lunch as friends, kept in contact and eventually we were drawn to each other even though he was thousands of miles away in Iraq on his 3rd deployment there. We made it official on June 17, 2011 and he sealed it with a promise ring before he returned to finish out his tour in Iraq. He proposed December 25, 2012 and we went to the Justice of the Peace on April 5, 2013 with our parents at our side as we said our vows. The actual wedding ceremony will be held April 5, 2014 in Savannah, GA.”

Jakema chose Kate Aspen Chrome “LOVE” Bottle Stoppers for their guests. Their theme is “The Reflection of Perfection” and these favors are a nod to Jakema’s roots in Philadephia and “Love Park,” famous for its big red “LOVE” sculpture.

We are so happy for Keith and Jakema and can’t wait to see pictures from their beautiful reception next spring!

Happy Planning!
