Floral Details for a Springtime Wedding
A spring wedding calls for lots of floral accents, and this wedding was nothing short of gorgeous with floral inspired decor, stationery and attire. The invitation suite was designed with sweet flowers and gorgeous calligraphy that set the scene for the couple’s spring wedding.
The bride decided on a gown adorned with gorgeous blue florals on the skirt, which was the perfect choice for this wedding.
Getting Wedding Ready
The bride got ready for her big day with her family and bridesmaids by her side. She wore her hair in a low bun and finished it off with fresh flowers that were subtle and sweet.
The wedding party was thrilled to see her in her final ensemble, they toasted with a glass of champagne as they prepared to walk down the aisle.
Delicate Bridal Details
The bride’s gown was topped off with a delicate lace overlay that added elegance and intricacy to her dress.
She wore natural-looking makeup and simple accessories – her beauty truly shown through in her bridal portraits.
The back of the gown’s overlay was adorned with dainty buttons that latched the entire length of the overlay, and the bottom was trimmed with eyelash lace that added even more beauty to her gown.
A Stunning First Look
The couple opted to do a first look before they said their vows. The Du Pont Family Chapel was the perfect backdrop for their first look – the budding trees and beautiful stonework of the chapel made for the loveliest photos.
The couple was so excited to see each other in their wedding attire before all of the guests arrived, and they shared a special moment before the busyness of the day began.
Wedding Portraits Among the Blooms
After their first look, the couple took a few wedding portraits outside of the chapel where they would soon exchange vows.
Photos among the blooming trees will be ones that they will treasure forever – the white blossoms fit with their spring wedding theme so perfectly.
A Wedding Full of Love and Laughter
The couple surrounded themselves with those that they love on their wedding day. Their wedding party was filled with family and friends who were proud to stand with the bride and groom and witness their marriage. The bridesmaids dressed in long, blush pink gowns and carried the loveliest bouquets with trailing ribbons that matched the blue in the bride’s gown.
The groomsmen looked dapper in classic tuxes with bowties and pocket squares.
In addition to the wedding party, the bride and groom were surrounded by the love of their parents.
A Grand Entrance and Sweet Vows
The bride made her grand entrance in a gorgeous vintage car. When she arrived, she met up with her bridesmaids, flower girl and ring bearer and the ceremony began.
The couple wrote their own wedding vows, which was one of the fondest memories they have of their wedding day. After the vows were read and the rings were exchanged, they shared their first kiss as husband and wife.
The guests tossed pink rose petals as they sent the elated newlyweds off to the reception.
A White-Tent Reception
The newlywed’s reception was held at Hagley Museum & Library under a gorgeous white tent. The perfect amount of plants and shrubbery surrounded the reception tent and made it the perfect setting for a springtime party.
Simple table decor with pink and white florals and tealight candles were the perfect amount of decor for this sweet reception. Cafton crossback chairs were set at each place and added a touch of rustic elegance to the wedding day.
The couple had plenty to ‘cheers’ about as they celebrated their nuptials with their closest friends and family.
A Special First Dance
One of the bride’s favorite moments of the entire day was their first dance. The couple made the dance unique to their style and loved sharing that moment together. After a full day of sweet vows, lots of springtime blooms and dancing the night away, the bride and groom were filled with love and were excited to start their lives as husband and wife.
