Changing leaves, cooler temperatures, longer nights, the chance to wear those fab sweaters or football—no matter what your reason, everyone has a reason to love fall! So, if you’ve turned your love for this season into the theme for your wedding, there are lots of ways to make it special, from the color scheme to the attire. But for some unique expressions of this time of year, consider adding these awesome autumn accents to your special day.

Autumn activities
Fall is such a wonderful time to be outside. After a sweltering summer, the cooler temps yield mild days and cool nights that are perfect for campfires and hayrides. Why not incorporate these favorite fall activities into the reception? For an outdoor wedding, open pit fires help set the scene, keep guests warm in the evening and provide the perfect opportunity to make S’mores! Create a fun DIY s’mores station with graham crackers, marshmallows, chocolate and something unexpected like caramel so that guests can make their own treats over the fire. Hayrides would be a fun activity for guests and an awesome way for the bride and groom to leave the reception.

Go-Go Gobo lighting
Even if your wedding reception is indoors, you can still accent it with the design of fall leaves, branches and pinecones for an elegant light scape throughout the room. Less rustic than actually bringing nature in, Gobo lighting can create a stunning effect with those same elements cast on the dance floor, a wall or anywhere else you’d like.

Table accents
Special accents on the table really add to the décor and go a long way in making a great first impression. The table is usually the first thing guests see, and what they’ll be looking at for most of the night. So, your choice for table décor is important. To bring a touch of fall to the table, place your fall wedding favor at each place setting. Use a fall theme picture frame to hold your place cards or seating assignments. When a beautiful fall centerpiece completes the look, you’ll have a warm fall table to greet your guests.

Fall fare
Spice up the menu a bit with a few unexpected seasonal favorites. How about some delightful pumpkin soup served in its own little gourd? Looks inviting doesn’t it! Duck or pheasant are wonderful additions to the dinner menu as well. On the lighter, sweeter side, have a little something different for dessert, like these caramel apples that can be enjoyed during or after the reception. They’re a fall favorite, for sure!

No matter which one of these ideas you decide to incorporate into your wedding, your guests will fall for these autumn accents!

Happy Planning!
