It’s your wedding day, and you deserve to sparkle and shine!  And, with this “gilty” pleasure, you don’t have to feel guilty about it!  From the twinkle on your toes to the decorative accessories on the tables, there are so many ways to grace your event with gold.  And the best thing about metallic gold is that it makes everything festive, it’s always classy, goes with everything and you can likely use it again after the wedding.  With that said…I know that you’re sold on gold!

Attire
Be bold and go with a gold gown for your wedding day!  Commanding attention as you walk down the aisle, you’ll definitely be the blushing bride wearing a full-length ball gown in glittering gold.  If that’s a little too over the top for your taste, try a gown that is embellished with gold accents around the bodice or along the train for a stunning back view.  To take it down a notch more, consider a gold sash with an antique broach for a little subtle sophistication.

Accessories
Speaking of an antique broach, bridal accessories are the best way to sneak in a little gilded style.  From the earrings to the beaded bracelet to those “say something” shoes, gold accessories will glam up any attire for the bride and the bridesmaids.  Rather than have the bridesmaids carry flowers, let them carry a beaded gold evening purse instead.  They’ll love the fact that they can use it after the wedding.  Consider it a bridesmaid gift!

Décor
If you’re planning a candlelight wedding, you’ll have an easy way to incorporate gold in the décor.  Whether it’s candelabras at the altar or glitzy bows and candles along the aisle, your wedding can be dripping with opulent gold. For the reception, you’ll be amazed at the difference elegant chiavari chairs make in the room.

Table Accents
Often times, people focus on the centerpieces when adding color to a table.  But there are so many other ways to grace the table with gold that don’t include flowers or candles.  Add a gold table runner or two to perk up a standard tablecloth.  And, putting a gold charger at each place setting really dresses things up a bit.  Complete with a golden wedding favor or place card holder, your guests can go for gold as they find their seats.

With these ideas, you’ll raise the gold standard at your wedding!

Happy Planning!
