2016 was a different experience for everyone, but one thing is for sure, there were some stunning weddings! From destination weddings to fusion weddings to colorful museum weddings, there was something amazing in every wedding we featured this year. We decided to pick our top 10 favorite wedding features on Kate Aspen this year for you to enjoy. We can not wait to see what beautiful weddings come our way in 2017!
1. Spring Mansion Wedding
This beautiful mansion wedding in Maryland had all the ingredients of a perfect day! The spring colors, paper airplanes, and outdoor games are just some of the things that made for an emotional day. Our favorite details where not one, but three gorgeous dresses for the bride during her big day and their dog accompanying them down the aisle.

2. Classy Nautical Wedding
Nautical weddings have been some of our favorite themes this year and this couple really blew us away with their boat wedding on Lake Tahoe. The navy colors, anchor cake topper and knot tying ceremony really tied the theme together and the couple looked absolutely gorgeous.

3. Pretty Pink Wedding
Florida was the backdrop for this vibrant pink wedding. The bride’s Alfred Angelo dress and show stopping bouquet are just some of the reasons why it’s one of our favorites this year! Of course, having their dog as the ring bearer might also be why it’s in our top 10. Who doesn’t love dogs in the wedding party?

4. Fusion Hindu Chinese Wedding
We covered some phenomenal fusion weddings this year, but this Hindu Chinese wedding takes the cake! There were so many bright colors throughout the day and nothing looked brighter than this bride’s smile. (Just look at her!) The breathtaking temple before the Hindu Ceremony mixed with the Chinese dragon dancers during the reception made for a memorable evening.
5. Colorful Museum Wedding
This couple used the San Diego Museum of Art as the backdrop for their big day. They made the most of it with stunning photos in the galleries and a whimsical cake inspired by Mondrian with a bright block design. One of our favorite wedding elements was the inclusion of our bicycle bottle opener, but we might be biased. One thing is for sure, this couple had an amazing day together!

6. Glam Speakeasy Wedding
DIY touches, vintage cars and pearls; oh my! This ultra glam Gatsby-esque speakeasy wedding had it all! Personalized gifts were a big hit with the guests! The moonshine bottled in mini swing top bottles, wedding programs on gold glitter hand fans and tiny bottles of champagne bubbles for guests to blow at the kiss were just a small sample of all the little details this couple put together to made for a fabulous party.
7. Summer Wedding in Prague
Destination weddings always make for the most stunning photos and this one was no exception! The “City of a Hundred Spires” mixed with vintage details like this Rolls Royce made this more than a travel themed wedding. (Although, the airplane bottle openers and map guestbook made for a nice touch!)

8. Purple Industrial Themed Wedding
What’s a more perfect combination than the color purple and bricks? For this couple, nothing! The rustic wooden ladders with purple flower arrangements, tea lights and natural vine served as gorgeous decor for the ceremony in an industrial alleyway complete with cafe lights. From the look of this couple, it didn’t matter where they got married as long as they were together!

9. Utah Mountain Wedding
We have a soft spot for mountain weddings and this adorable couple in Utah really took our breath away! Just look at that backdrop! What’s not to love? The outdoor ceremony, vintage flair and rose color scheme really created the perfect occasion to match the perfect location.

10. Fall Wedding in New England
Of course we had to end our list with another wedding in the mountains! This New England wedding made for some incredibly unique photos. The fall colors mixed with this photographers style of editing made these wedding photos unforgettable. Everything about this wedding was stunning! The brides dress from Kleinfeld Bridal mixed with her leather jacket and long veil just blew us away. And the groom with his whimsical orange socks was the perfect match for her.
